►MEANING OF #: Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are, help us to spend them as we should. We are only here for a short period of time. We want to remember Tracy not of her passing but the number of days while he was alive here on Earth.
►WOOD:
Each heart shape is uniquely, hand-crafted and custom designed from locally sourced weathered-down desert mesquite hardwood trees found in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Acquiring these logs allows me to create 100% sustainable art and repurposed live edge wood designs. Hand-crafted in North Peoria, Arizona.
►FRACTAL ART:
A process of applying 20,000 volts of electricity on the surface of the wood with conductive solution and recreating a lightning strike in slow motion as well as unique abstract figures, tree and veinlike shapes. The fractal art design on the heart represents the beautiful life and memories of Tracy.
►EPOXY COLOR:
Self-leveling high gloss U.V. resistant epoxy is used with blue metallic pigment is added to seal the burns created during fractal art process on the surface of the wood.
►OIL FINISH: Hand rubbed finish using Old Masters clear satin gel polyurethane to bring out the natural beauty of wooden surfaces.
